The last couple months...
So much for that updating for often thing... oh well :-P
Let's see...these last couple of months (being the first half of the summer basically) I've been keeping pretty busy. I helped my grandparent's finish up their house enough so they could get their move in permit and then moved them in. I still help out there every once and a while with finish work. Its been great with them actually moved in now though, not only is there no rush but we've been able to use the pool now that its all heated :-) Besides that I spent a lot of time searching for a job which I finally got on Friday!! I had over a dozen apps. in and Thursday evening I got a message from Pet Supplies Plus. Friday morning I called them back, went in for an interview that afternoon and started working Saturday morning :-) I love getting to see animals all the time at work!
Even though I am glad that I finally have a job and some sort of income (since I'm quite broke at the moment) I did like not having anything I really had to do the first part of the summer. I got to spend some awesome times with friends :-) Alex, Rachael, Jamie and I went to Cedar Point, the last couple of weeks Rachael and I have gone down to Blues on the Mall, and also the I have recently started spending more time at Vitale's with the new gang here and its been great. These guys are so much fun...I can't wait til my birthday, the only thing that kind of sucks is that I'm the only one of us that can't drink, but it has been good that I've been there to play dd.
Hmm..I guess that about sums it up so far...I've had a lot on my mind lately and I hope I get it all figured out soon..I hate being so confused...
Oh well, I hope you all are having a great summer :-) Now let's see how long it takes me to update next :-P

It's that time again...
Ok, so I know I keep saying I'm going to update more often, but that just doesn't seem to be happening. Oh well... here's my update for the last month and a half :-P
Between the craziness of homework, exams, work and trying to find some time to get some sleep...Nate, Kristi and I went up Charlevoix one weekend for a wedding and the following weekend up to Tech to visit Kev. Both were awesome fun times and much needed get aways :-)
I am sooooo glad that the semester is over!!! Even though this summer is going to be a busy one, it won't include homework! The end of the semester was insane. I am sooo sick of writing papers...and I can't say I'm looking forward to next year cause it will only be worse. I'm tempted to split it up a little and take a couple classes next spring but I don't know if my classes will be offered. Oh well, I'm sure it will all work out.
This summer I will be continuing to help my grandparent's finish their house, which is coming along really well, help my mom find a house for us to move into this summer, and find a job so I can hopefully make a little money as well.
Let's see...last night I went to Alex's and hung out with Alex, Jamie and Alex's mom :-) We played 4 games of euchre and then Alex, Jamie and I played a round of beer pong. After that we just hung out a little an passed out. This morning Alex bought us donuts when we ran out to the post office, mmmm fritters :-) Then I came back here and got to work on laundry and cleaning up around here a little.
I'm excited, tomorrow is Kate's bachlorette party and saturday is the wedding! It's coming up so fast, but it is exciting.
Alrighty, I think that's about it for now. Time for more tv and relaxing then bed for me :-) Goodnight all!!

Yes I am still alive :-P
OK so it's been a little while since I've updated..but here I am posting again!! :-D Where to start...
Christmas break was great and I wasn't ready to come back quite yet for this semester, but now I'm glad I did. Although this has been a tough and busy semester, it has also been a pretty good one. Instead of trying to recap the last couple of months I'm just going to break it down and give the status of the different areas of my life...
School: Crazy tough and have had many sleepless nights of work with more to come but I'm still surviving somehow...
Home: I haven't really been home as much this semester, which is kind of sad cause I haven't seen my mom that much, but things are still good. The tough times last summer brought my mom and I a lot closer which I am glad about. The house is still in progress, but it's coming along well and everytime I see it I just get more and more excited for it to be finished.
Friends: I love my friends!! I don't know if I would be surviving college without you all and I thank you all for the awesome times and the laughs and memories :-) This semester I've also hung out with a few old friends from home that I hadn't seen in a long time and I realized just how much I've missed them. I'm so glad we are hanging out again!
Love life: As most of you know by now Nate and I are dating :-) It's hard to believe that it was a year and a half that I was single; I had kind of gotten used to it..now I realize how much I missed having someone who really cares for you there at your side. Even though it was a little bit of a slow start, I am very happy that things have worked out they way they have! :-D
Spring break: I could go on about this for a while...I had an amazing time at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah and even though we stayed very busy, I wasn't ready to come back to school. If you want to know more about the week you can either ask me or read Jessy's lastest post about it. I love bonding time :-) Hopefully I will get some pics up on facebook soon! Oh and I cannot wait to go back to BFAS!!!
To sum this up: I'm pretty happy with were my life is at right now and with the direction with which it is headed and I hope I can finish out this year the same way it has started!

Belated Merry Christmas All!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! It's been a while and I'm home alone at the moment so I thought I would take the time for a little update. Break has been pretty good so far, I've gotten a lot of much needed sleep, spent a couple days lounging in my pjs, another couple out shopping (Yay for dinner at Red Robin!), spent another couple days in Grand Haven but I got to see my little cousins who I hadn't seen in quite some time, and for Christmas my grandparents, older cousin and uncle came and spent the day here. Overall Christmas was good, we watched Polar Express and National Treasure and White Christmas and played games (I got Ultimate Outburst! fun times :-P) and we made homemade pizzas for dinner. I haven't really done a whole lot else though, it's been a pretty uneventful break. I went to Kate's on the 18th for a small christmas party and had a great night of Catch Phrase and Christmas with the Kranks with some old friends, went out shopping with Corey, and went to Friday's for dessert with Alex (thanks again!). But yeah, I hope everyone is having a good break and I will see you all soon! Have a goodnight!!

This year I've been busy!
In September I got in line at the supermarket at the same time as someone else and I didn't yield (-8 points). In July ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) 1_rach and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points). Last Thursday I stole pretty_in_white's purse (-30 points). Last Wednesday I farted in an elevator (-6 points). In October I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points).
Overall, I've been nice (293 points). For Christmas I deserve a shiny red ball!

Happy Belated Turkey Day!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! My break has been ok so far, just kinda busy. Tuesday night I got to go bowling after all because my sister didn't end up leaving Northern until Wednesday morning. So, Wednesday my mom and I got up and traveled to Higgins Lake (just north of Houghton Lake) which was a two and a half hour drive (roads were crappy) and met up with my sis and her ride at Coyle's restaurant. There we had lunch and then came back to CP. Thursday we went to my grandparent's in GH for the day. It went well and the food was great so all in all it was a good day. I finally got to sleep in a little today and we went over to the bank and I applied and got a credit card (YAY) so I should have that in the next week or two. Tonight is the 19 Wheels concert! I'm glad I get to see them tonight but it's sad cause it's their last show...Oh well...good news is I got to see Bon Jovi last week!!!!! Incredible show and I really really really want to see them again!! Nate, Jessy and Katelyn came with me and thank you again Kristi for letting us stay with you :-) After the concert we met up with Kristi and saw the new Harry Potter which I thought aws really good. For having to cut the time down I thought they captured what they needed to from the book. Anyway...I still have a lot of hw and stuff to do this weekend cause I haven't done anything yet...joys...so that's what I'll be busy with. Everything about school right now is just depressing, but that's another story. I hope this finds everyone safe and well. No more accidents!! They aren't allowed! I'll see you all next week :-)

Time for another update
These last few weeks have definitely kept me busy, especially this one..But to start here are the highlights of the three weeks prior to this one: saw Craig perform at Hungry Heart Cafe before Smoody (great show); went to Ben's going away party which was good times as always, but it's still kind of strange that he's gone; saw Def Leppard at Van Andel!!! Incredibly awesome show!! They have a new cd coming out next year and I can't wait to go see them again :-D ; went to the Haunt which was tons of fun; went to dinner at Jukebox Joe's to celebrate my mom's b-day, its always good there; celebrated Halloween at the guy's place and at our place as well :-P ; celebrated Jessy's 21st at the bowling alley, always great fun at bowling!; went to the concert on campus on friday and saw Lukas D., Broken Sunday, Never Say Never and Lucky Boys Confusion, awesome show!; and of course have done a lot of studying and haven't gotten a whole lot of sleep. That brings me to this week...one with next to no sleep and a lot of work... a project, exam, lab report, take home quiz and of course other hw, a meeting, bowling, comedian..its been a full week and its not over yet. Oh well, I'm going home this weekend for the firt time in about a month, so that will be nice. Ok, short and sweet, but I'm at work and its time to head back to Prof. Shupe's office. Later!

My week...
Let's see...last weekend was a blast: Friday I went to Bennigan's for dinner with the family to celebrate my cousin's 21st b-day which was great and then I met up with Ryan and we came out to GVSU for the Family Guy drinking game and a party :-P Saturday was the zoo trip and hayride with the bioclub and friends which were both great fun! Sunday we went to Robinettes for doughnuts and cider (Nummy!), Woodland mall and Meijer, then I came back and was up until 6:30am working on hw and studying for my exam on Monday morning (which I know I failed...)
This week was good (after my exam anyway). Wednesday we made a run to Alpine and got a bunch of errands taken care of and now I know what I'm going to be for halloween! Thursday night we went clubbin which was awesome; I had a LOT of fun and Jessy, Mary and I danced behind one of the screens on stage :-P Friday night we went back to the cottage in Castle Park for an awesome party before they closed it down this weekend. Saturday when we got back, I got ready to go home even though my mom picked me up at 1:30 and we didn't actually make it home until 8. It was all good though, we stopped and looked at some cars cause my mom is looking at getting a new one finally and then we went to T-Mobile and I got my new phone and then we got our hair cut. I love my new phone btw...it's awesome! Then last night my mom and I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail which was good of course, but I was so tired I started to fall asleep at the end so I went to bed by 12:30 and today I didn't get up until 12:30/1pm hehe. I did get to go see Ryan and Cora today though :-) Cora is so cute and sweet. After that I went home for dinner and then my mom and I went to Kohl's and I got more fleece (YAY!) and then to Walmart and now I'm back here at GVSU. What a week! To bad tomorrow is Monday...this weekend went by way to quickly. Hopefully this week will be another good one! Don't forget bowling tuesday everyone :-)

Let's see...last week was crazy with a take home quiz, 2 exams and a paper. Friday was a blast though with awesome friends! Saturday I made breakfast and Jessy came by and we ordered the Bon Jovi tickets. I'm soo excited!! That night I went back to the cottage in Castle Park. There weren't very many of us but it was still good times. Sunday my uncle stopped by which was cool cause I hadn't seen him in a while. I'm excited now too cause he said we are going to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra again this year!! This week has been kinda crazy as well with a couple quizzes and another exam today. Jessy and I worked out on monday, tuesday bowling was super fun!, bioclub meeting again yesterday and the core express class which was a lot easier than last week :-P Tomorrow night should be fun. Unfortunately I won't be able to go to the movie because I got the call today that we are celebrating my cousin's 21st b-day finally tomorrow. I hope to be back in time for games and such though. I'm looking forward to the zoo and hayride Saturday and Robinettes and mall trip on Sunday too. To bad crappy hw will spoil the rest of the great weekend... I have another exam on monday. Oh well, it's about time for Papa John's so I'm off for now. Enjoy the concert tonight everyone!

Life is good...
So it has been quite a while since I've updated once again...oh well. Over this last month I've started school again which is going pretty well so far. I have 2 exams and a paper due this week but that is the most hectic school work wise that it has been. Life on top of school has been pretty crazy but good at the same time. The only bad thing is I've been sick for the past month but I think I'm finally getting a little better. The best part that I'm uber excited about is that in the next 2 months I'm going to see 3 AMAZING concerts: Def Leppard at Van Andel, Bon Jovi at the Palace of Auburn Hills and Disturbed at the Orbit Room. I am going to be soooo broke but it will be even more worth it!
Ummm....last weekend I went to Castle Park for a party at MJ's cottage. That was a blast like always. There were about 20 of us or so and we got to walk down to the lake which was beautiful. The next day we had a water balloon fight and played a little tennis with MJ's dad and just relaxed for a bit. It was soooo peaceful out there, non of us wanted to leave. Monday night was the Bon Jovi concert online which was incredible of course and the tuesday Nate and I went to Best Buy and I got their new cd (its awesome!!) :-) Tuesday was bowling night and it was awesome! I bowled my highest ever (158) and then my second turkey ever! This weekend was really relaxing. I didn't do much but sleep which I really needed. Alrighty...I should get to bed...class is at 9 and its going to be a busy week!
P.S. Let me know if you are going with us to see Bon Jovi preferrably by Friday so we can get the tickets Saturday and if anyone has a credit card we could borrow that would be greatly appreciated!! :-)

Interesting week..
Well I can't say that this was necessarily a bad week, but some parts could have gone better. Sunday Mike and I went and saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on IMAX which was awesome! Great movie!! Monday I hung out with Kate, Lisa and got to meet Kate' other bride's maid Julie which was cool. We had pizza at Kate's and then went out for ice cream and sat outside and played Catch Phrase which was a lot of fun. Tuesday was my b-day..I got up and took my mom to work and when I got home found out that my grandparent's and aunt and uncle decided they wanted to go up north for the day instead of celebrate like we were going to (can't say I was too happy)...then I went and picked up lunch and my cake and had a picnic lunch with my mom outside of her work which was nice. Then I ran a couple more errands while I waited for my sister and other uncle to bring my mom home and my cousin joined us and we went to Bennigan's for dinner. I love Bennigan's and I almost got away without the singing but my uncle just had to bring it up at the last minute. Haha at least I got a free dessert out of it :-P Then we went back to the house and played a game of cribbage and then Corey and Aaron came and picked my up for bowling. I was glad I got to go bowling cause I hadn't in so long. Wednesday we came out here to Grand Haven and celebrated my b-day with pizza and cake. My sister gave me the soundtrack for Spamalot which is hilarious amd my grandparent's gave me $50 for clothes. My mom said she is going to get me a new phone (same # and what not) which we will hopefully be going and getting soon. Yesterday and today have been pretty uneventful..I've slept in both days and sat around watching tv for the most part. Relaxing yes, but it does get boring after a while. I was hoping to hang out with Lisa today but I couldn't get ahold of her and Tanya called but we didn't get to do anything either. I got a call saying that we were coming out here to GH for dinner and to pick up my sister so that is where I still am now. This weekend I am helping Kate and Steve move into York Creek and doing stuff around the house. If anyone is free next week let me know cause I know I will be! :-P I just found out that Bon Jovi is playing at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort on August 21st but tickets start at $75 :-( I wish I had the money to go but I don't think I do. Anyway that's enough babbling for me right now...time to head home soon!

Livin' La Vida Loca
So I have definately been living a crazy life lately. These last three weeks or so I've gone from the normal routine of get up, work all day, shower, sleep and get up and do it all over again to back home sleeping in and doing next to nothing some days. Now I honestly can't complain about actually having free time, but the way there was on an easy or pleasant road to travel. I have had a very hard and hurtful few weeks which I would love to forget about but I know that won't happen. I hate family problems!!! The story is way to long and complicated to try and hash out here and it really doesn't matter so if you want to know that story you can ask me sometime and I might tell you.
On to a better topic...I got to hang out with some old friends last night which I really needed and things are pretty much all worked out with the family..I hope anyway. I moved back home last saturday which I am glad about. If anyone is bored at anytime feel free to give me a call! I have a lot of free time now that I am back home. But yeah..my birthday is tuesday which will be nice..only one more year after that before the big 21! It seems so far away.. :-P Anyway I hope you are all having a good summer and I can't wait to see everyone again!! Shout-out to the campers in NY and to everyone still here in MI!! Love you all!!

I need to escape...
Well yesterday was my first full day off in almost a month and boy did I need it. We have been working all day, everyday and it's really wearing my down. Sure we've had a couple easier days, but still, school is going to be a vacation to this. I can't wait for school to start again...I miss everyone!! Last night Tony, Jenna and Mike and I went to the Grand Seafood and Oyster Bar here in Grand Haven to see Dan play with his jazz trio which was awesome of course and then walked over to the channel and watched the fireworks. It was great to get out with people other than family members again. Granted it was a little rainy but it didn't matter. We were supposed to work yesterday but because of the on and off rain all day we didn't (yay!), so we went shopping instead hehe. I love shopping a little too much sometimes. I can't wait until I have more time and money to actually go..I need clothes.
On a different topic, I talked to Lisa last week and she should be home soon for the rest of July which I am excited for. I need to try and find time to go see her and you too Kate! We'll have to spend a day at the beach or something.
Side note: I've had a lot on my mind lately and am still really confused and trying to figure things out. I know there is really only one person to really talk to to help clear things up, but for some reason it seems awkward to bring it up. I just wish I knew what the future was going to be like I guess...

The best way to hide something is to do it in plain sight!
This week was busy but I definately had more free time than I did last week. Its been too hot to stay outside and work lately too so I guess it's a good thing there wasn't a lot to do. Tomorrow we have to pour a little more cement into the forms so they will be ready by the time they come to pour the walls on monday/tuesday. Then we should be going out on the boat sometime in the afternoon. I'm sorry Jessy that I won't be able to make it to your pool party!!! I hope it goes well!! My uncle got here today from Oregon around 4:30pm which surprised us all because we hadn't expected him until late friday/early saturday. It was really cool though having about 3/4 of my family here tonight. That doesn't happen often. Anyway, I don't know what is all going on Sunday but I hope to hang out with people sometime soon since I didn't get too today. Well I guess I should be getting some sleep since we are getting up kinda early. Night all!!

Update time!
Everyone else is updating I guess I should as well. I've been pretty busy lately working on the house, we poured the footings last Friday and took the forms off on Sunday. Saturday was my first full day off in two weeks and I got to go into town and spend it with people at festival. It was great times! I saw a lot of people I hadn't in a while too. I had yesterday off and surprisingly today off as well. There isn't much for us to do though until next week because the walls aren't being poured until Monday. Today was fun, we got to go out on the boat! It was great just laying out on the boat a couple miles off shore. I'm not sure how the rest of the week is going to go but hopefully I'll be free this weekend to hang out with people. Okie dokie, well I guess this will just be short and sweet cause I really don't have tons to say right now. I'm sure I'll think of something later. Hope you all are having a great summer so far!!

Busy as a bee...
Wow its been a while since I've posted, what can I say I've been busy...and not having internet at home really sucks. Anyway I'm out in Grand Haven at the moment at my grandparent's; I'll be here most of this week and next. Today we took 3 loads of stuff over to the property now that the barn is done. Friday we will be washing the boat and putting it in there as well. Saturday-Sunday is Ben's party which I am excited for.. I'll figure out someway to be there!! After that I'll be back out here house/dog sitting again while my cousin and grandpa go out to Maine to get my grandma. At least I'm close to the beach!! Way to much has happened since my last update so I'll just say that I had a stressful semester that I'm glad is over with, but I had many great times with great friends that helped pull me through. I miss you all! Hmm...my grades for the semester were kinda what I figured, except I somehow pulled a C- in my biochem class! I was pleasantly surprised to see that but I might still have to retake it which sucks. Oh well...time to go relax and play some games. If anyone has free time and wants to come hang out let me know! I know you all want to go to the beach!!! :-P
P.S. To Jamie, Alex and Ben: I got my pics back and the ones from Chuck-E-Cheese turned out really well! I can't wait for you guys to see them so if you want copies I can get them made. :-)
